this building looks very bulky? 😉

🎓学员评论学员分析

Yes, you could say looks very bulky.
The only thing I would add is that it may be difficult to determine; as the image doesn't show other buildings in the area.
But yes, it appears to be very sturdy, well-built, or well-constructed.

🎓学员分析学员分析

This building looks very boxed

If you look at the picture you attached, you will notice a boxy office building.

What boxy means is that it looks like a bunch of boxes that are integrated together.

So yes, a square is one of the descriptions to being called boxy, but also anything that can be stacked on top of each other like a set of legos, in a way...

Then there is boxed (surrounded) or closed in.

Example, in boxing....

When a component is being pinned to the corner and being knocked around by the other boxer, he is boxed in.

There is nowhere to go in a sense, it is closed in.

So for that sentence you mentioned, let me write it like this, and both are correct.

This is just another way of writing it.

"A lot of commercial buildings like the example in the picture attached are boxy for the simple reason that constructing buildings that are boxy are cheaper to build because everything stacks up nice and easy."
