Lynn老师:目标分数在6.5，我应该如何制订学习计划？

首先 你不要觉得自己的基础差哈
你只是学的晚了而已
你上学的时候 国内的教育也不好
和你自己 没有太大关系的


我带过基础4.5的学生
也带过零基础的 和你一样 背诵新概念12的学生

大家的共同点都是
你们觉得雅思考试很难
考到6.5肯定需要半年到1年
因为 都想学新概念....好像大陆很多机构 宣传这个？


但是,实际上
你按照 雅思复习计划来,1个月考试一次
每个月 只抓1个重点 1个技能
取决于 你每天 可以学习的时间
如果 你每天可以学习5-6个小时
大概 2个月 听力可以考到6-7分
你在听力的学习 过程中 会建立很多study habits
study skills
也就是说 你会更聪慧的学习了
然后 你再复习写作
然后是 口语和阅读
最后需要的时间 不会超过6个月

我在国内教书的时候 带过一个托福的学生
初中英语水平
我们直接做的 托福题 拿真题做听写
用慢速VOA 练习发音和听写
第2个月 我们开始做托福真题
2个月 以后 这个学生听力 可以到80% 正确
因为 我们做的事情 都是和 托福考试相关的 没做别的


但是,
如果你学新概念1年
你复习的内容 可能并不是 雅思考试里面的题目
可能最后考试的时候 4个4分
国内专业8级的学生 雅思都可能考到6.5

Lynn 老师，非常感谢您给出的建议。我的年龄比您回复的那位同学大，基础比她好些。大学毕业，大概有3000左右的词汇量。在国内工作时会接触到英语，但仅限于回复邮件和公司文件的拟稿。
我按您给她的建议，一步步看了一下，发现第一步听力的复习我就搞不定了。要自己整理听力的错误总结：整理因发音问题而经常出现的拼写错误。
老天，我要是搞得清这个，还会听力拼写错误么？？？要是能做到凭发音就能准确拼写（不认识这个单词的前提下），我的英文绝对不是现在这个水平了。
所以您说的第一步，看似简单，但在我看来反而是几个步骤中最困难的那个。而且，感觉第一步都没能完成，后面更没有信心进行下去了。
说了这么多，如果我们这些年龄大、基础差的同学想报一对一的班级是否可以？
如果可以，我们大概多久能达到G类四个6.5?

Lynn 老师，非常感谢您给出的建议。我按您给的建议尝试了，发现菜鸟们几乎是不可能独立完成这些的。因为在我们目前这个水平（雅思4.5），是搞不清英文单词的发音规律的。如果能搞清，那我们的英文就绝对不是现在这个水平了。而且，感觉第一步都没能完成，后面更没有信心进行下去了。

Hi Lynn, thank you so much for your suggestions. I tried according to the advice you gave, and found that it is almost impossible for rookies to complete these independently. Because at my current level (IELTS 4.5), it is impossible to complete independently without the guidance of a teacher. Moreover, the first step is not completed, and no more confidence to proceed next step.

So, I want to determin if students like me who is old and English foundation is not good, if I am eligible to apply for one-to-one courses?

Hi

You can apply for 1-on-1 but because other coaches all focus on students with a level >= 5.5
They do not have experience of coaching a student at 4.5 level
I am the only one who can coach a student at this level

Also, if you were to study with me together, we will focus on listening firstly, teaching you how to use words you are familiar with to study new words

then, we may move on to writing or speaking depending on your strengths and weaknesses

It would be only 1 lesson / week instead of 2 lessons / week because most of the time, you will spend on praciticing using the tools and method we created together

We will do a learning style test at the beginning to decide what kind of materials suitable for you, be it audio or written format

after 2-4 weeks, based on your level, we can gradually speed up , e.g. 2 lessons / week

Our goal woud be 6666 in 6 months spending only 12 hours 1-on-1 with me

I coached students of this level before, she increased her speaking from band 5 to 6 in one week
