核心词现象写不长导致body段字数不够

It is suggested that unpaid community service should become a compulsory part of high school programs. I am in favor of this idea, as this practice could bring some benefits to students.

Participating in unpaid community service can cultivate students’ social skills. Unpaid community service provides students with a large number of opportunities to help people who take up various jobs and have different characteristics, and these persons’ backgrounds vary compared with those students meet every day.If unpaid community work becomes a compulsory session in high school, high school students could be able to get exposure to different thoughts and behaviours. They may consider such differences as norms, thus accepting them, which may enable them to show empathy to people around them when communicating. This process can improve their social skills.

Getting involved in unpaid community service can also enhance students’ self-esteem. It is true that high school students, who bury themselves in academic study, hardly have got the opportunity to devote themselves to helping individuals in need in society. If they were required to take part in unpaid community service, they would realise they have something valuable to offer to others and have the ability to make a difference to other’s lives. It is these experiences that could make them feel capable and valuable, enhancing their self-esteem.

As previously discussed, participation in unpaid community service can not only improve high school students’ social skills but also boost their self-esteem. I, therefore, strongly support the proposal to make it compulsory.
