我之前的雅思写作分数一直在 6－7 分之间浮动。复习效果很差。复习方法和很多同学一样，看Simon的范文，死记硬背，文章缺乏固定套路。考试就是碰运气。碰到我背过的题目，分数就会高，没有背过的，分数就会低。Simon的范文虽然很好，但是每一篇的结构都不一样，这样一来，就造成了“ 事倍功半”。我建议大家结合Simon范文里面的表达＋Lynn的论证recipe,这样效果最好！ ” 2014年底，我上了Lynn的课程以后， 建立了自己的论证模版，学会了abc逻辑词组。6周的复习以后，我考了两次雅思，1次写作7分，1次7.5分。2015年6月，我又上了最新版本的课程，复习了4周，获得了8分。
课程帮助我最大的有3点： abc词组, 同义词表格，G类Task1。
2.同义词表格： 由于8分对于词汇的多样性要求很高，“同义词表格”让我迅速想出多种表达方式，是我获得8分的关键。“同义词表格” 包括3栏: 1. 我们常使用的 “低级表达”，比如good jobs。2.高分替换： lucrative, promising,prosperous jobs；3. 替换词的例句。这样的设计，让我把新的知识和旧的知识结合在一起，通过联想记忆的方法，提高了学习速度。 比如，每次我想写 good jobs 的时候，都会有意识的使用 “替换表达”。 例句帮助我更好的掌握了词组的运用方法。比如， “在…的环境中”，如果只背诵 “ exposure to …” ，我不是很清楚to 后面加什么内容。看了例句 “ Exposure to a foreign country” 我了解到，to 后面可以加表示地点的名词。报名课程的同学，一定要认真的学习这份资料！！！
3. Task1高分句子结构： 我之前觉得General Task1的范围太广，很害怕碰到生词，不知道如何下手。课程里面提到了将Task2的 4种“论证recipe” 和Task 1 不同类型的文章搭配运用，这个技巧，提高了我的复习速度，而且减少了语法错误。Lynn提到了如何将1个”论证recipe” 灵活的运用到多种类型的文章中。比如，“ 强调句” 可以用来写“感谢信”，“邀请信”，“请求信”。如果写“感谢信” , “正是因为你做了…, 才帮助了我..” It is (你的帮助）.that … （ 给我带来的好处）如果写 “邀请信”：“正是因为我经历了什么事情，让我获得了某个奖项。”所以，我要开一个Party庆祝一下。Lynn和我说，做任何事情都要遵守20/80法则，20%的投入，带来80%的结果。这些“论证recipe”就是Task1 20%投入，大家一定要认真学习！ 烤鸭寄语：写作8分并不是遥不可及。只要你按照课程step by step 的学习，坚持每天复习，你也可以和我一样获得8分.

“My IELTS writing Score was unstable before. I only memorised Simon’s sample essays but I did not have any strategy to prepare for it.Though those samples were good, they did not show me how the essay was written.Each sample has a different structure, which resulted in wastage of lots of time in my preparation. After I enrolled in Lynn’s Course, I learnt how to prepare “smartly” and how to use abc phrases and recipes. I was surprised by how simple this method is. Within 6 weeks, my score was 7.5! Lynn’s materials are very detailed. They cover all writing topics, including phrases and vocabulary. Unlike most online courses that allowed me to watch only videos, her course includes online quizzes, which helped me a lot to assess my progress. Three things helped me the most in Lynn’s course.
1. ABC phrases: What I found most difficult about writing is that I am short of ideas, and I do not know how to extend those ideas using simple words. ABC phrases are logical phrases that gave me ideas about all the exam questions. They also follow a sequence, a happen, and then b happen, and then c happen. For example, if you want to argue the “benefit of arts”, Lynn provides these phrases a: arts b: trigger positive emotions and alleviate negative moods c: relieve people’s pressure In this way, I not only understood “what”is the benefit, but also learnt “how” did arts reduce our pressure. In my argument, I just simply connect all phrases together “Arts can trigger positive emotions and alleviate negative moods, relieving people’s pressure.”
2. Synonyms list: I also felt difficulty in paraphrasing, one important criterion in achieving 8. Synonyms list helped me solve this problem. Synonyms are words that have similar meanings. In this course, Lynn provides synonyms for keywords of all topics. She presented synonyms in a table. This table have 3 columns, phrases I have already known, high-mark synonyms and example sentences. For example, to show me the synonyms of “good jobs” Lynn put “good jobs”in the “basic column”, “lucrative, promising,and prosperous jobs”in the “advanced column,” and each word has one example sentence. This helped me connect new words to the words we have already known. That was why I was able to memorize them very quickly and understand them accurate.
3. General Task 1 I used to have no clue about how to prepare Task 1 since they cover a wide range of topics. In this course, I learnt 8 types of Task 1 and their structures. I also learnt some common sentence structures that can be applied to nearly all topics. And that was why I could improve my score very fast.
