When a new town is planned, it is more important to develop public parks and sports facilities than shopping centers for people to spend their free time in. To what extent do you agree or disagree?

It is said that when a new town is developed, public parks and sports facilities take priority over shopping malls for people to spend their leisure time. I strongly disagree with this statement because I suppose that all of it should be developed in a new town.
It is imperative to construct some public parks and sports facilities in a new town. The reason is that many public parks have a lot of grasslands and the view is really attractive, the sports facilities are accessible easily. If both of them are built, people will go there to exercise. When we do physical activities regularly, this may strengthen our immune system, decreasing our risks of suffering from cardiovascular diseases and obesity.
In addition, it is also essential to construct shopping centers in a new town. Because there are various products and entertainment activities in it. If shopping mall is built, people will go shopping and taste these activities when they have free time, thus maybe they will refresh mind and let off steam. When we are relaxed, it is easy for us to associate irrelevant ideas together, thus creating original work. This process can cultivate creativity. And more importantly, based on lots of scientific researches, it will take us less time to comprehend knowledge when we loosen up, we may study or work more efficiently.
As Discussed above, all of them have the equal status in a new town, constructing public parks and sports facilities will make people healthier and shopping centers will improve people’s creativity and efficiency.
